Overview

Telmate Tablets provide a complete communications, education, commissary and entertainment solution to jails, prisons and ICE facilities nationwide. Telmate Tablets are an effective inmate behavior modification tool for decreasing stress and violence, and helping facilities gain operational efficiencies by using an automated, paperless inmate requests, grievances, crime tips and PREA system.

Inmates use tablets to access a variety of productive content including multimedia, law, re-entry, life skills, education, and more. They offer facilities complete control through Telmate Command, our web-based administrator interface, and Telmate Investigator, our suite of crime solving tools.

The Telmate Tablet Difference

  • Available to Every Inmate

Telmate Tablets feature the industry’s only Universal Access Model (UAM) that allows every inmate the use of a tablet. Tablets offer both free and premium content for inmates on a pay-per-minute model. This payment structure means all inmates have access to communication services and facility approved content.

  • Independent Solution

Telmate Tablets can be deployed independently of a facility’s phone solution or facility network. Our self-contained system includes all software and hardware, which means there is no cost to the facility and no impact on existing systems or networks.

  • Proprietary, Corrections-Grade Wireless Network

At the center of the Telmate Tablet solution’s network security is Telmate Gatekeeper, a full featured collection of security access control software.

  • Ultra-secure, Locked-Down Devices

Telmate Tablets are Android devices that have no room for contraband and no media slots. Telmate has modified the operating system to permanently remove features that could present potential security risks. Inmates have no access to core device settings other than volume, rotation and brightness control.

  • Inductive Charging

Unique to the Telmate Tablet is inductive tablet charging or wireless charging done at custom, corrections-grade charging stations. This solution eliminates cables and cords that can pose hazards in the corrections environment.

  • Automates and Digitizes Facility Systems

Telmate Tablets help facilities go paperless and automate costly processes such as grievances, requests, crime tips, PREA messages and commissary ordering.
