Inmate communications leader, Telmate announces its new and improved state-of-the-art technology, GettingOut, connecting friends and families with their incarcerated loved ones.
According to Telmate, GettingOut was developed to make it easy and reliable for friends and family to foster strong relationships with inmates, and vice versa. It offers a vast selection of education and self-improvement content, all designed to enhance inmate well-being by giving them positive outlets and a window to the outside world.
According to Telmate Chief Executive Officer, Richard Torgersrud, GettingOut provides simple and reliable communication between inmates, friends and family, which is rooted in the power of relationships. It focuses on inmate self-improvement and creates a sense of community, bound by trust and hope.
“Our aim is to be a supportive and friendly conduit for making connections, fortifying relationships and offering content so inmates get out and stay out,” he says. “From a friends and family point of view, Telmate hopes that the more contact inmates have with their friend or loved one, the higher the likelihood they will be “GettingOut.”
According to recent studies, inmates who are connected to the outside world are more likely to refrain from conduct that would cause them to receive disciplinary infractions or jeopardize early release. With GettingOut, Telmate is hopeful that through positive connections on the outside and exposure to self-improvement content, inmates soon will actually be GettingOut and re-building their lives — all at no cost to taxpayers.
