Our IT Services group is responsible for the development, enhancement, and support of both front-end applications for user-experience and back-end applications that compose our core infrastructure. Projects range from small tasks that take a few hours to new features that take many weeks.

POSITION

We need a Linux System Engineer to maintain our Linux based servers, install software on new servers, maintain hard drive arrays, and setup automations for maintenance and new installs. You should excel at creative problem solving, bring great energy and focus to projects, and love organization. You must be self-driven to succeed, establish and meet deadlines, and work well with a team.

You will be a member of the IT Services group, reporting to the Director of IT Services. This is not your normal web application gig-we’re not making another Twitter clone for your grandma. We dabble in all aspects of computing, from trying to scale Ruby on Rails, to building our own hardware, to smashing it with hammers.

The ideal candidate will be required to maintain current versions our company software stack across multiple co-locations, ensure backups are occurring, and minimize downtime during catastrophic events. In addition, the candidate will be responsible of daily system administration tasks such as configuration, monitoring, restarting services, and supporting our developers.

Typically this includes:

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

This role would focus on designing and implementing a unique user experience using both common and cutting edge user interfaces and paradigms

Required Qualifications:

• Expert experience in Javascript development
• Know the cross-browser tricks inside and out
• JQuery, Prototype, Sencha
• Experience with DHTML, XHTML, XML, AJAX
• Strong experience building web applications with HTML and CSS
• Experience working in Agile Development methodology
• Experience with Selenium, Firebug and other unit testing and debugging tools for the Web
• Experience in analyzing front end performance bottle necks and providing industry standard solutions
• Experience in Actionscript and/or Adobe Air a plus
• Technical leadership experience a plus.

POSITION

Telmate is looking for an intelligent, energetic and charismatic Technical Evangelist capable of engaging potential customers with presentations of our software. This position is an exciting opportunity to join a fast growing organization with industry leading communications technology. Our ideal candidate will be the primary technical resource for our sales force across the US and Canada. This role is responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisor, hands on demonstrator, and product advocate for all Telmate products. The Technical Evangelist must be able to articulate our technology to both technical and non-technical customers and be capable of eliminating technical sales challenges by working with potential customers to come up with creative and adaptive solutions using Telmate technology.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for the development and delivery of product demonstrations for all Telmate products
• Responsible for representing Telmate products to customers in the field, and at events such as conferences, seminars, etc.
• Able to become a Telmate product expert, and help steer potential customers to a Telmate solution to their challenges
• Able to convey customer requirements to Product Management teams
• Able to travel throughout the US for product demonstrations
• Able to organize and lead remote demonstrations when in-person demonstrations are not feasible
• Working with the Telmate engineering team to learn new features before they are released
• Maintaining a public and internal sandbox for customer demos/evaluation

This is a key role and you’ll be right in the thick of it from day one.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A master user of Apple OSX.
• Knowledgable and experienced with tools such as demonstration friendly add-ons (such as zoom tools), and remote demonstration tools
• Methodical and organized; able to manage multiple opportunities, projects and priorities concurrently
• Talented at explaining complex topics clearly and concisely, and effective at providing practical guidance
• Capable of demonstrating Web-based software like a maestro
• Software presentation/demonstration experience a plus
• Public speaking, or group leadership experience a plus

POSITION

Controller/CFO will be a hands on and strategic contributor to the financial & Accounting management of the company. Responsible for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial and accounting related activities of the company. This will include direct responsibility for accounting dept, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, Return on Investment (ROI) analysis, Taxes & Regulatory Compliance.

• Manage, Direct and oversee all finance and accounting functions including AP, AR, Fixed Assets, monthly closings, preparing financial statements.
• Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, analysis of budgets, financial trends, cash flows and forecasts. Lead annual budgeting and forecasting exercises.
• Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
• Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

The ideal candidate has a record of success as a hands-on and strategic leader in entrepreneurial and dynamic environments. You possess an entrepreneurial drive, and a demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in an innovative and fast paced environment.

EXPERIENCE:

• BA/BSdegree; Master’s degree, MBA, or CPA preferred
• At least 10 years of related experience.
• Preference for candidates with experience in start-up technology companies, telecom industry and/or medium size businesses.
• Experience working with IT to manage finance and accounting.
• Experience collaborating with Sales and Marketing groups for financial accuracy and modeling.
• Demonstrated leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skills.
